NEW! Biofeedback for Golfers

What golfer has not stood over a putt (or over any shot for that matter), tried to clear his or her mind of any distractions save the simple intent to make the efficient and effective stroke required – and failed because of the rush of unwanted thoughts (doubts about mechanics, anxieties related to game and peer pressures, over-reaction to ambient noises, the ebbs and flows of self-confidence, etc.) which inevitably undermine execution.

One of the more significant applications of biofeedback is in the field of sporting activity – perhaps especially in golf where maximum concentration is essential. Biofeedback is, by definition, the exercising of self-control based on an individual’s interaction with his/her thought processes. Biofeedback is, almost literally, a window into the self – the “window” in this case being a monitor-viewable graph of the working of the brain’s nervous system.

With Dr. Remig’s training in biofeedback techniques, any individual can learn, over time, to be his/her own “thought policeman”, regulating what should or should not be admitted into the circle of concentration when the need for absolute focus is required.

Whether the problem is the “yips”, the “yanks”, the “duck hook”, the “chunk”, or the “duff” – or all of the above! – biofeedback is the golfer’s most reliable “trouble club.”
